Frosted Thistle Replacement Papers JNQ164E *

Bradley and Judy Niemeyer designed the layout and foundation pieces for Frosted Thistle. This quilt is simply a new color approach to Judy’s original Thistle Pods pattern, but with significant changes to the color layout, new directions were required. A collection of fabrics designed by Judy and Judel Niemeyer, for Timeless Treasures, from the Reclaimed West Collection were used to completed the sample on the cover. A sewing technique called foundation paper piecing is used when sewing the pieces onto the foundation units. Curved piecing and traditional piecing skills are required to join the units after the foundation piecing is completed.
