Paper Piecing - Quiltworx 101



Join Certified Instructor, Jenny Clark, for a 6 month paper piecing academy to learn the basics of paper piecing six small Judy Niemeyer projects.  You will learn several skills through paper piecing this series of workshops including:
  • How to read Quiltworx patterns and understand them
  • How to cut your papers and templates efficiently
  • How to cut your fabrics and stack it for your project
  • How to paper piece with simple straight lines
  • How to sew curved seams with NO pinning
  • How to assemble and complete a Quiltworx quilt top

These are just a few of the skills that your will learn while making these projects.  You will also learn many other skills and learn how to use tools like the add-a-quarter ruler, the purple thang, and how to skillfully use the fabric glue pen to help you finish your projects.

You will end up with six beautiful quilts. The patterns are cut loose press patterns designed by Quiltworx.  The dates of class will be the 4th Saturday each month January - June, and the pattern you will learn are as follows:

January 26 - Labyrinth
February 23 - Stained Glass Window
March 23 - Candy Cane Cabin
April 27 - Water Wheel
May 25 - Wicker Basket
June 22 - Clockworx
